Guided Tour of ALGATEC Eco Business Park, the largest microalgae production platform in Europe
A4F Algae for Future and Green Aqua are proud to organize a Guided Tour of ALGATEC Eco Business Park, a side event of the 2022 UN Ocean Conference to take place in Povoa de Santa Iria, only 10 min. far from Lisbon-Altice Arena, on June 29, from 8 am to 10 am.
Microalgae are among the most important marine resources used as raw material in blue bioeconomy. They represent a real sustainable alternative for a variety of purposes, such as food and food supplements, animal feed, cosmetics, fertilizers and biostimulant plants. Microalgae also play an important role in circular economy and decarbonisation considering their ability to fixate CO2 and their innovative use in biomaterials, bioremediation or advanced biofuels.
The ALGATEC Eco Business Park, a project designed and built by A4F, and promoted in collaboration with Green Aqua and HyChem, is a 14.2 ha integrated platform with microalgae production and processing units.
ALGATEC is a case study and a clear example of what we can do these days in bioeconomy to fight climate change.
